Fred Camper
Fred Camper’s guidelines to experimental film do
a really good job in breaking down the conventional needs and wants in making a
film. It is exciting to have that desire
to create for the sake of creating rather than to provide a coherent storyline
or message, to try new techniques and ideas that aren’t normally thought of or
accepted. I also think that his idea
that an experimental filmmaker needs to be able to step into every job
description is a good plan of attack for not just experimental but all films. I
think this class is going to excite, push, and be rewarding for all of us
through out this semester.
